 If you're involved in an IPO you are restricted from reselling the stock
for some period.

 I think it's 30 days if your an outside person.  If your an insider it's
like 90 days.

 If you look at the stock value for VA Linux you'll see spikes at 30, 60, 90
days as people sold off.
